New Hampshire Newspaper Posts neo-Nazi Letter - Don't be timid, GOP

The managing editor of the Concord Monitor and New Hampshire Patriot
, a newspaper in the state of New Hampshire should have exercised better editorial judgment and not published this hate speech.

The contributor, Allison Caldwell also makes many spelling/grammar mistakes.

Remember, a child or teenager will likely read or see this in print or on the internet (especially in web searches related to the Republican Party, or the history of the Nazi's for homework).

Don't be timid, GOP

With the new Republican dominance and leadership at the New Hampshire Legislature I might expect the former occupiers to act in a negative and vile manner. The Democrats' complaints over guns in the State House is one example. For year and years permitted gun owners carried at the State House. It was only with the Democratic Party surge in 2008 that the anti-gun carry law was passed to stop gun carry in the house of the people.

My disappointment with the Republicans, and it's an old story with them, is when they have the political power the people give them, they're timid in having the courage to use it. As a neo-Nazi I would certainly have rolled back as much of the culture-dissolving legislation as these new-day Bolsheviks* have been trying to perpetrate against our U.S. Constitution and the American people. Unfortunately, the Republican Party does a money calculation before it acts decisively on social and cultural issues. Roll back gay marriage; you have the power.

ALLISON CALDWELL

* NOTE:  During the days of the Cold War in the United Kingdom, labor union leaders and other leftists were sometimes derisively described as "Bolshie". The usage is roughly equivalent to the term "Commie", "Red" or "pinko" in the United States during the same period. Adolf Hitler, Joseph Goebbels and other Nazi leaders also used it.

ADVICE:  Ms. Caldwell, we urge you to seek therapy from a highly trained and qualified therapist!

Governor Steven Beshear responds to Kentucky Equality Federation

Before being appointed Managing Director of Marriage Equality Kentucky, Mr. Halyn Roth contacted Governor Steve Beshear as Kentucky Equality Federation's Southern Kentucky Regional Director about the Equality Bill currently beng considered in the Kentucky House and Senate.

The Bills are House Bill 106, House Bill 117, and Senate Bill 138.  Click here to sign the petition.

Commonwealth of Kentucky
Office of the Governor

Thank you for contacting me about Rep. Mary Lou Marzian's proposed statewide ban on discrimination with regard to housing, employment and credit. I appreciate knowing your perspective.

I believe that every person must be afforded equal rights and equal access to justice, regardless of their race, religion, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation. Just as I have done throughout my career in the public and private sector, as Governor I continue to oppose discrimination in all forms. For example, not long after taking office, I signed an executive order restoring equal opportunity employment to all state employees and prospective employees. Under the order, no state worker or applicant can be hired or fired based on race, age, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity, ancestry, disability or veteran status.

I hope that you will also let your state legislators and the legislative leadership know your thoughts in support of Rep. Marzian's bill, since any change in state law will first have to pass the House and Senate.

Thank you again for sharing your views. Please feel free to contact me whenever an issue is important to you.

Sincerely,

Steven L. Beshear

Our time is now. Act now!

The time has come to Kentucky to pass a law to prohibit terminations based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

In 1966, Kentucky became the 1st state in the South to pass a civil rights law. The Commonwealth also became the first in the south to establish enforcement powers over civil rights violations on a state level. The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights becomes the state enforcement authority of the Act.

What happened to us? At what point did our great Commonwealth lose its leadership in the area of civil rights?

Take action!  Act now!

Kentucky's U.S. Senate Delegation Opposed Repeal of Don’t Ask Don't Tell (DADT); U.S. Senate Passes the Bill!

In a move being hailed as a milestone victory in the campaign for homosexual rights, the Senate acted Saturday to repeal the 17-year-old law that prohibits gays and lesbians from serving openly in the U.S. military.

The 65-31 vote, which came after a charged and sometimes vitriolic debate, was surprisingly bipartisan. Eight Republicans joined Democrats in voting to repeal the policy.

Conservative organizations said the vote didn't reflect the sentiments of rank-and-file military members and should not have taken place so close to the end of the current session of Congress. The Massachusetts Family Institute blasted their U.S. Senate Republicans, including U.S. Senator Scott Brown, who broke rank with their party on the vote.

"The American military exists for only one purpose — to fight and win wars. Yet it has now been hijacked and turned into a tool for imposing on the country a radical social agenda," said Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council.

Implementation of the law remains at least a couple of months off. Both U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and Admiral Mike Mullen, who wanted the law repealed, must first certify that policies are in place to conduct the repeal "consistent with military standards for readiness, effectiveness, unit cohesion, and recruiting and retention."

U.S. Senator Jim Bunning (R-Kentucky), did not vote.

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) opposed the move, and characterized the move as "ill-considered," adding that the move "is harmful during a time of war."

Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), disagreed, cited a Pentagon study that said the change would cause little disruption within the ranks of the military. Admiral Mullen made it clear that he supports repeal. "From my personal perspective, absolutely."

Admiral Mullen continued: "We value integrity as an institution, asking individuals to come in and lie about who they are every day goes counter to who we are as an institution."

Kentucky's Congressional Delegation in the U.S. Senate are an embarrassment the entire Commonwealth.

When states such as the United Kingdom, the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Commonwealth of Australia, the State of Israel, Argentina, Canada, Kingdom of Spain, Kingdom of the Netherlands, all member states of the European Union and every original NATO signatory except Turkey and the United States, allow homosexuals to service openly, what does that say about the people we have elected to represent Kentucky in the United States Congress?

In the area of gay rights, and in human rights, the United States has fallen behind other States, we are no longer the world leader in liberty and freedoms.

The United States recently had to answer to the United Nations for human rights violations.
